Meet the datasets

Use the included files directly. Lesson cells read from DATA_DIR and write exports to OUTPUT_DIR.

Fictional classroom records

Student, department, assessment, attendance, and café tables were created for teaching. They include deliberate missing values, unmatched IDs, and other data-quality problems. They do not describe real students.

Choose a format

CSV and tab-delimited text introduce separators and data types. Excel adds worksheets. JSON, JSON Lines, and nested JSON introduce record structure. The public-data workshops explain how to read and compare them.
